  1. Excellent documentary photo. It would be great to know more about the situation.
  2. I'm not exactly sure what I am looking at. It looks like she is taking a photo of her reflection in ice or water but the angle would be wrong so he must be taking a photo of the reflection of another photographer. I do like the fact that she is holding an old school film camera. (But her finger is no where near the shutter so what she actually doing is beyond my sensibilities). Also, if this was in fact a reflection of another photographer, wouldn't "Canon" be reversed?

Very nice image and composition. I am just thinking that the shadowy figure would not be so dark given that his surroundings are much lighter in tone. He is also out of focus, maybe from a software filter?
  4. The iris blur filter seems too abrupt and noticeable for me. The edge splits the page near the center line. Otherwise, it is a well composed and interesting image.
  5. Reminds me of the "Crazy Moving Art" by Jean Tinguely that I saw at the Amsterdam modern art museum (Stedilijk). The wall shadows were similar. Could it be a photo of an art exhibit?
  6. Quality of new submissions is way down. Contributions to critiques and comments on new photos is nearly non-existent. POTD and POTW are often late being posted. Editors choice images are often really average choices. And the site continues to be very buggy. Seems more like a start-up business than a business that has been active for 20+ years.

This is a good image. Too bad that she is a bit blurred but I get that this is a long exposure.

Thank you for your comment, Frank.
  9. I think that in order to critique or rate a photo, you have to at least like it in some way. So, I would prefer that all ratings come with a helpful critique. Or, all critiques should come with a rating along the three dimensions listed. (I might add that I find it hard to reconcile that so many wonderful photos have few views, and some really average picture have hundreds, and number of views seems to be what gets a photo high on the trending list?).

Great image but I wonder if it is over-sharpened? I see the direction of the light but even so the light around the cap stands out as maybe a bit of haloing. Just a thought.

The look you get when you first realize that you actually can't have everything you want, even when you are the President.
