From a few years back. F-1 with FD 15mm fisheye.
-
Canon did make several versions of the Canonet. The earlier "big" versions had a hot shoe with just one contact. The later compact versions had an additional contact in the hot shoe for the Canolite D speedlight. Sounds like you have an earlier version. Check out the Canon Museum for more info.

I took very few pictures of the eclipse, preferring just to experience the 2'30" of totality we saw. I did sneak in a few though. Canonflex with FD 500/8.0 Mirror Lens. Efke 25 film.

Canon New F1 review and how to buy one well
jim_bielecki1 replied to gwhitegeog's topic in Canon FD Mount
I stopped using zinc-air batteries because of their short shelf life. While I shoot a lot of film, I may not use my F-1 for months. Zinc-air batteries just don't last long enough for me. Silver-oxide batteries do, plus they have better cold weather performance. Another option is to buy authentic, new Mercury batteries. Apparently 1,35V Mercury batteries are currently being made in Russia. You can buy them on eBay. -

386 silver oxide batteries are small. CRIS, and others, have made a housing the size of an old 1.35V battery. You slip the 386 battery into the adapter, then put into the camera. It looks like CRIS is no longer making these, but Kanto Camera, in Japan, is. You can buy them on Amazon, etc. -

I bought a C.R.I.S. adaptor that allows me to use a 1.55V 386 silver oxide battery. in my original F-1. It reduces the voltage to 1.35V. Works great The F-1's meter matches up perfectly with my hand-held Gossen Luna-Pro. -
From probably 1983, just west of Munising, Michigan on the shore of Lake Superior. Canon F-1. Forgot the lens and film, though it was transparency film of some sort. I used the Upscayl software to clean up the image.

I suggest sending an email to Steve at the Camera Clinic. He works on a lot old classic film SLR's. https://www.cameraclinicusa.com/

Yes there is. This is from 2010, the old Michigan Central Train station in Detroit. This was back when it was in ruins. Ford has since bought this old train station and has totally renovated it. It now looks like a million bucks. The grand opening is in June. But as for the pic, purely by chance, I happened upon a photo class that was using models dressed as brides parading in front of the old station. I walked over and snuck in a few pictures before the guys putting on the class got mad. This one worked the best.

Canon F-1 with FD 35/2.0 (thorium). Tri-X
-
Interesting. I process C41 and whatever film I use usually spends about three minutes in the developer (at 105 degrees). I never heard of one hour development. Was processing done at room temperature?
-
Luis---Am I reading this right? You used stand development for C41?

Looking at some old negatives, and came across this from 2009. F-1 (old) and FD 50/1.8. Tri-X in D-76.
