how to ensure a video downloaded to our computer from remote server, is perfectly the same as the one on the remote server?
Sometimes downloading a file from a random unreliable server could lead to corrupted download but go unnoticed, firefox or chrome will not report to you that the download is unsuccessful or imperfect, it's rare, possible though.
I once downloaded the same file twice but they were with different SHD1 checksums, then I downloaded the files a few more time and then it was correct.
What can I do, especially on the hardware level, to ensure that the download is the intact? I know there is silent data corruption over time during the lifetime of any file, but is it possible to have silent corruption in the first place the file is downloaded? (i.e. different from the copies on the server, even the slightest)
