Studio Harel - Street Dance n3

Grace amidst the mundane. The blue cast is ghostly. At first, I thought it was a reflected image. Nicely done.

And to strap him onto a God-awful wicker bicycle basket. Hasn't the man suffered enough? I'd be curious to hear the string of thoughts that led to this selection. I've been thinking about your work lately. I still recall shots you posted a decade ago. Any intent to compile your best work into a retrospective? Blurb, anyone?

    Alternative Facts?

Yep. Einstein, an immigrant, came to America to escape fascism. The irony is sadly nauseating. It's not a great shot. It'll be a painful memory.

Well, it seems a lot of people are using white Jesus to take us for a ride.  The plastic flowers depict eternal life.  Plastic is forever.  The scene bears no resemblance to the real deal as I understand it.  Perhaps I shouldn't post comments that have a political bent, but that's what sprang to my mind and I've gotten to the point where quiet, polite dissent ain't working.    Rambling aside, I like the shot.

    swampland 3

The color palette works so well here. My eye goes directly to the center where it's warmest. These are scenes that most people would butcher by oversaturation or poor framing. But you nailed it.

How I missed seeing your work! I love the color and detail here. Exceptional.

    Alternative Facts?

Fred: It defies logic how someone so completely mendacious, fear-mongering and pathologically narcissistic can maintain a fan base. The false equivalencies are also baffling. Emmanuel's comment seemed neutral, and we have sometimes disagreed in our perception of things, but I know that his opinions are not knee-jerk, and he sometimes sees something I don't. I posted this picture reluctantly knowing that it may yield some opposing points of view. Unfortunately, I post so rarely these days that I've all but disappeared.... Linda: Yin and yang! I drove by this scene throughout the election and the juxtaposition of logic and um not-logic piqued my interest, so I hauled my camera out from its dusty home and snapped a few shots to create a time capsule.

    open gate

There's a little hint of a heart hovering over the gate, suggested by the darker tone. I like the little glimpse of alternate reality in the bricks flowing forward away from the wall. That blue in the gate sings.

Really eye-catching. You have inherent gift in organizing the visual elements of a scene and/or expertly cropping.

    Alternative Facts?

I debated whether to post anything remotely political, but then thought that photography should reflect what's going on, at least in the mind of the photographer, so what the heck....   I also could not come up with a title.  Chaos theory?  A search for meaning?  Pattern analysis?  Truth is relative?  Well....  At this point, nothing makes sense.  I could've labeled this "Cat Enjoys Cheeseburger," which would be just as valid and truth-based as any other fact-free assertion I read in various posts, blogs, comments and youtube clips.   I always enjoy your comments.  Compelling.

    Gulag for Geeks

I must walk around with my eyes closed. Or at least down. The angle of the fence brings the eye in sharply and creates a bit of movement and confinement that a straight-on shot wouldn't have accomplished.
  13. Each opening looks like a singing mouth, slightly tilted, enjoying the party.

    The Klee Warrior

Natural. Weird. That little piece of orange tape is the emotional center. Your approach has a great balance of detail and sheen.
  15. I like these shots. Beauty in the mundane. The rust/blue combo works well together.
