Yellow Flower

Forgive the generic title, but I forgot to check the variety of this flower seen during a recent visit to the Tucson Botanical Gardens.
  2. From the ferry between Oban, Scotland, and the Isle of Mull, the best of about a dozen exposures.
  3. I'm shooting a Nikon D5600, 1/200 shutter speed, 100 ISO, f5.6. Using Pocket Wizard triggers on camera and one studio light, with the second light on slave mode. Doing portraits at church for a new directory. Last week I had no problem. Today, intermittently, I would get a dark streak along one side, which suggests to me a sync fail. But my settings aren't changing between shots, and I'm stumped. The triggers have good batteries, the Nikon has a freshly-charged battery, the lights are plugged into a power strip. I'm tethered into LR Classic on my laptop. I've used a similar setup multiple times in the past with no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  9.
After a two-week vacation in August, during which I shot 1,400 photos with my Nikon D3000 (and another 800 with my iPhone), I find myself wanting to get back to shooting more and different things. It's just about my only hobby.
I was introduced to 35mm (Pentax) in the early '70s, while stationed in Monterey, Calif. (I know, such a hardship!)
Long about 2000 I got my first digital (an Olympus D-510). I stuck with Olympus digitals until purchasing my Nikon a few years ago.
I've stumbled across Photo.net before, but never felt the need to engage with the community until now.
Here's my first couple of images: Nancy (some recent lighting experiments with the Nikon) and some sunflowers from our vacation (the iPhone).
Cheers!
