battery compartment looks brand new, not seeing anything wrong. :(

Yeah i tried in every mode shutter sound doesnt change at all.

Yup, the red leds show when i partially depress the shutter button

Just picked up an a minolta xd11 from a flea market and threw some batteries in it. I know that the shutter speed is controlled electronically in these cameras, and no matter what speed i set it to, it sounds the same. The B and O settings work, but 1/1000 to 1 sec are the same. any ideas? :(
