1.
VSCO Film Pack is good but expensive. All Packs can be used for portraits or landscapes with some tweakings to meet preferences.

 2.
https://www.digitalanarchy.com/primatte/main.html
I don't know if it's better than PhotoKey, but it's the same price anyway...

 3.
Alt+right click is not the way to select a clone point, you must do Alt+left click for this.
Alt+right click allows you to change brush size or hardness when you move the mouse horizontally ou vertically

 4.
The easiest way to copy this look (or any other look) is to get the photoshop plugin 'PhotoCopy' (Digital Film Tools), it does a pretty good job, you can adjust the settings and save the result as a preset for further use.
If you send me an image, I'll process it, so you will see the result...

 5.
I would suggest these:
https://www.creativelive.com/catalog/all?qd=ben+wilmore&sort=1&upcoming=0
You will find everything you need there. Ben Willmore is a top teacher and his explanations are always clear and easy to follow.
