Great shot. I saw this on Instagram but I have to admit the image quality is much better on PN. Too bad most of the members have abandoned this site; it was great 10-15 years ago before they tried to "improve" it and screwed it up. I got to know and even meet a lot of talented photographers back then. I even exchanged photos with some of them. I really miss the comradeship we seemed to have in those days.

I play a little game with myself I call pick out the Gorinstein. I'm seldom wrong; you can't fool me even with a lovely semi-abstract rockscape like this one.

Really excellent image, Daniel. The horse seems to materialize out of the background wall. I especially like the very tight composition which gives the picture a feeling of immediacy, a kind of "now you see it, now you don't" impression. Obviously, you saw it and captured it before it faded back to oblivion.

Hi Daniel. Payed one of my rare visits to PN and this picture immediately caught my eye. The diagonals of the fallen logs contrast very nicely with the strong verticals of the forest in the background. The stream is well placed as an intermediary between foreground and background. Hope you're doing well. I'm still traversing my health issues with a hernia operation coming up in a couple of weeks but doing well. After the hernia operation, the path ahead looks pretty good even for one of my advanced years. Still shooting and pondering the meaning and worth of my photos and still posting on Instagram though without a great deal of enthusiasm. I'm afraid the good old days of interesting and intelligent comments are gone for good. It's taken most of the fun out of it for me; I'm just not a good fit for the age of "likes" and emojis. The skies in your neck of the woods are the visual equivalent to grand opera. I don't know if you intended it or not but there is a slight lean to the left of the horizon.

I prefer baked Alaska this way rather than your other view of the dessert. I think the dish and its contents play well against the somewhat surreal table settings in the background. The only thing I question is the transparent square with which you have placed over the B.A. which I think is unnecessary.

Despite your title, at first I didn't realize this was a composite photo. With composite photos you can go two ways: very subtle as this one (only the ghostly leaves glimpsed through the rim of the golden bow) or as an obvious collage. I would like to see how this would look if you had masked the rim oval so that the leaves were not visible or barely so since the oval center of the object shows only the barest hint of the ground.

You've really captured this rushing torrent of water beautifully and I am also impressed by the tones of the picture. Monochrome fits the picture perfectly avoiding any romanticism and emphasizing the power of the waterfall. At first I had questions about the tree bisecting the composition but on further viewing I've rather grown to like it.
