    dandelion

Tony, This is a beautiful image. The backlight on the "blossom" really works. Nicely done.

    Blades

Interesting geometry and color in this shot. Nice use of the angles and shadows.

    Catch of the Day

    well seen and shot.

    Into the Woods

very nice. T addition of the person and bright color makes this standout from others like this that i have seen.

    if I was a mouse

I prefer this shot over the original color shot. I think the starkness works quite well and that the leaves and other colors in the original distracted from the image. Well done!

    Land Crab in Water

This poor "land crab" found his home and himself washed out buy a heavy rainstorm. Just treading water until the tide subsides. Comments appreciated.

    Drop Cloth 1

For the exhibit these are printed on Cold Press White and in traditional frames. I ultimately plan to have them printed on large gallery wrap canvas pieces (at least Underwater and Arid). Then it will be an image created from a canvas drop cloth actually being shown on canvas.

    Drop Cloth 1

I am enjoying the reactions/responses to the three pieces in this folder. They were put here as part of an experiment related to an exhibit I will be in later this month. The exhibit is themed H20. Rather than do traditional pictures of water I chose to do abstract impressions of water created from images not of water. In the artist statement I discuss the images and their original photos. I give the url to this folder for people to see the three original images. If you want to see the final products that will be in the show go to my abstract experiments folder and look at Underwater Reflections; Glacial Ridges and Drifts. This image was also used for Arid Lands- Painted Desert which was not selected for the exhibit.

    Land Crab

Jack, his hole is in a very wet aera of grass and mud on the grounds of a resort in St Thomas. I have been there twice and the area is full of these crabs. If it really rains the area my flood, but generally it is just muddy and damp.
