  1. Hello there folks.... Someone posted instructions on how to remove the top cover of a baldina or super Baldina camera. Sorry, l cannot find the origional post. Here, i am not including the folders. To remove the top cover plate of a non folding , " pop out periscope" type Baldina or Super Baldina, Prontor shutter RF. 1) Looking at the top of the camera shows two strap lugs on either side. Turn these carefully counter clockwise and unscrew them. Be carefull not to scratch the side metl as you do this. 2) Remove the knurled circular part on top of the winding arm located on the right side of the camera body. Keep the winding arm firm against the inside of the camera top as tyou turn the knurled cover knob to the left. Tape the plier grip inside with tape so it will not mar the knurled knob . 3)Remove the winding arm by lifting up and off body. 4)gently remove the top cover... I did this by a combination of slight prying pressure and by wiggling the top cover with thumbs and/or inside of hands. The top cover will be sort of stuck, as if glued on. Pressure will eventually break the seal between the top plate and the bottom of the camera body. Maybe someone will benefit from this as i did from the origionalpost. If i can do this, almost anyone can! Top cover off, ever so gently use brain and hands of surgeon to wipe, clean, etc. I used a small soft artist paint brush to lift up and out any residue, sand, dirt etc. from the inside of the top cover plate and the camera body.
