1. It cannot be a camera-lens compatibility issue because the reset solved it. I just don't know why both DX cameras decided to shut down Auto focus at the same time without me. I see what you mean by camera-lens compatibility issue. All the lenses had internal Nikon focus motors so were compatible. thanks
 2. Thing is, I did not touch the menus on either camera. They just self coordinated. Used the 7100 today and it worked great.
 3. I was on a trip with a D3100 when I found that it would not autofocus. I could not find a menu solution. When I got back I found that my D7100 also did not autofocus. So I tried my lenses on my D750 and they worked. Both DXs are back up to my 750 and I have not worked with the menus in some time. I finally was able to solve it in both cameras with a menu reset. So why did this happen to both cameras at the same time? Is there a Nikon ghost?

Shooting full frame for the first time digital with a D750 I notice the difference in the depth of field as compaired to my D7100 to D70. I was shooting the Woman's March in Toronto. It is quit a lot narrower. I will have to stop down more to get the same results. I noticed the opposite with the P7100 which I use to carry around. It is not good at selective focus with its small sensor.

 5.
Thanks Dieter

 6.
I cannot find this in the manual. When I chose WB auto, I can adjust this with the front wheel to 0, A1, A2 etc. What are these settings? thanks in advanced

 7.
Thanks Leszek. I don't expect waterproofing in any camera. This was drizzle so the 300 was a better option.l

 8.
I usually shoot with D7000 or D7100 for money but recently I had to cover an event in a drizzle. I did not want to take them out in that so I looked at my older D300 that is better weather sealed.
It did really well. I was going to sell it but I now have a use for it.

 9.
I have been photographing for over 40 years and made the switch to digital on 2005.
I always wanted to work in raw files for all the good reasons people work in raw files but I could never find a useful workflow for what I do.
I do event photography. I can come home with 300-700 files to sort through and work on. I probably only give the client half to a quarter of what I shoot.
Working with raw adds 2 to 4 steps to the process and can really slow things down.
Clients are always happy with what I produce because of my shooting and Photoshop where I work with colour casts (Less to do here ever since the D300), cropping, sharpening and contrast all which I have automated into an action.
Am I the only one?
