  3. Awesome. I like the juxtaposition of the total eclipse with the diamond ring. The diagonal arrangement is nice, too.

    Reflejos

    Wonderful reflection. Excellent composition.

    2017 Solar Eclipse

I used a Hoya solar filter (16.5 stops, I believe) for the partial eclipse images and no filter for totality.

    Sunset biker

First of all, a very nice piece of art, Dieter. The bicyclist is the perfect element, and I like that he/she is silhouetted against the hills in the background. A split second later, and the bicyclists head would have moved forward to a point where it is level with the background hills, and it would not have been as good. I like the symmetry of the trees, offset by the asymmetry of the position of the clouds on the left, the sun and the bicyclist. I'm not sure if I like the larger version more. The tighter version is a bit more intimate, and the texture of the trees comes out better. The only thing I would change is to photoshop out what looks like a small jet contrail on the upper right.

    Common Loon

A very difficult bird to photograph.  This one is beautiful.  Nice reflection and eye detail.

    car 2

I think this works well in B&W and does not require the upper parts of the tonal range, as Jake suggested.  The lines of the photo are stark enough, that if you made the cars bright white, it would be too much.  This is a nice abstract - you've used a common scene and worked it to your advantage.
  13. I keep on coming back and enjoying this photograph.  Sepia was a great choice.  The photo has excellent depth to it, and the clouds were well captured.

    RED ARROWS

Perfectly done. I like how the smoke trails partially leave the frame and re-enter it. They kind of frame the photo.
