1. That's really nice of you, I would love to try it out, but I'm from Slovakia. I'm not sure where you're from, but I bet not from around here :D
 2. Yea I know, I reassembled it so I don't loose something, it's just temporary.
 3. I'm repairing old Nikkor-S 50/1.4, it's first time I'm working with helicoids. I cleaned it all up, I even managed to get rid of all the fungus. I bought some graphite grease for the helicoid, but it was too damp, o I've decided to clean it all again and I reassembled it without grease for now. But the focus ring is still kinda hard to turn, compared to my Nikkor-S 35/2.8. Is there a grease that would loosen it up even more than it is now, without a grease?
 4. Hi everyhoneone, I'm orry if I'm in a wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to put it. I'm repairing old Nikkor-S 50/1.4, it's first time I'm working with helicoids. 5. Thanks for the link, I'm gonna look into it :) well im thinking about using my 135mm Nikkor with adapter for portrait shots, even though the DOF wont be as narrow the angle of view will compress the background nicely and hopefully separate the object from its background :)
 6. Zoom sounds okay, at least something :) Yes I exaggerated 1 second a bit too much, I just couldnt edit the post :D But lets say 1/20 or even 1/10 on wide lens like a 35 or 28 should be okay-ish right? It's not like I'm gonna try shooting with 135mm at such speeds The more I read about Olympus, the more Im convinced about buying it :)
 7. I´m talking about Mk1, I can get it for 200ish€ which is kinda a no brainer, I just wanna know what stuff I can do with it. And about the IS..sooooo is it possible to shoot at slower speeds than usual? Oh and another thing - any recomendations for some cheaper used lenses? I dont really care about top of the line ones, it's gonna be a holiday camera, I don't like dragging my Nikon with all the heavy glass everywhere..Im looking for one walk around lens (like 35mm on fx) and one longer portait lens (85mm on fx). I dont even know what to look for, what manufacturers make MFT lenses..
 8. Hi everyone, I'm considering buying OM-D E-M5, but I've got couple questions I couldn't find answers to. So I would like to ask you for a couple minutes of your time to help me. The first question is about the 5 axis image stabilisation. Let's say I use 28mm manual focus lens with an adaptor. I stop it down to get a longer exposure, push it to lets say 1/10 or even a full second to get some movement in the background (this example may be pushed a bit too far, but you get the point, getting lower than 1/50th to get some crowd movement is one of the things Im going for). Will I be able to shoot it HANDHELD? Because I've got a friend that said he shot with 300mm handheld at 1/10..something I find impossible. And the other question is whether the camera is manual focus friendly. Is there some kind of focus peaking or zooming in to get the focus? That's it for now :) I would really appreciate if someone would take the effort to help me with these questions :) Thank you very much for your time

 10.
@Edward - I used alcohol, cleaned it, no problems whatsoever, no scratches, no smudges..so yea, useful advice - leave it alone. Sorry if I sound rude but that's why I said I don't care it doesn't affect the image, leaving it alone is not an option.
Here's the result -

 11.
Morning all,
I bought Nikon FG that's in great condition other than the mirror - its filthy, dirty as hell. I know that it doesn't affect the photos and it's not seen even from the viewfinder. But Im a perfectionist and I wont accept that my camera is dirty.
So how should I clean it?
Someone obviously tried to clean it before me, the smudge no the left bottom of the mirror speaks for itself, looks like it didnt work - I'm gonna have to clean that smudge too. Any tips/tricks?

 12. Hi everybody, I bought Nikkor-Q 135/2.8 for a good price as a restoration project. I have no problems whatsoever with disassembling and reassembling the lens, but what I would like to ask is what chemicals should I use for cleaning everything - the lens, old grease on the focusing mechanism, apperture mechanism and so on. Also, what do you use to relubricate the focusing mechanism? Some people tell me I can use rubbing alcohol (isopropylalcohol) for cleaning the lens, some say I shouldnt. What are you using?
 13. Thanks for your suggestion. It looks like the camera is working properly - the apperture is moving to the desired speed while shooting, btw. maybe even easier way of testing it would be DOF preview button. Thanks again, I dont understand how Ive never thought of it. I was even considering selling this one for parts and buying new one - now that it seems like its working Im gonna try to shoot some film with it. Thank you again :)
 14.
I'm terribly sorry, it's the FTn version that I have. By RED DOT I meant this little thing

There's nothing like that on my Nikkormat, therefore I do not know whether it's indexed properly or not :/

 15. Good morning everybody, I recently bought Nikkormat FT and I have a problem with indexing while mounting lens. I read a lot of manuals on how to index the lens and saw vids on youtube, so I would say I know how it should be done. Problem is that after I mount the lens and I go to max and min aperture from 5.6 I hear no clicks AND the red dot that should appear to indicate the lens is indexed properly..lets just say that I have Nikkor-S (50/1.4), Nikkor-Q (135/2.8) and Nikkor-H (50/2) and I never saw that red dot, no matter which lens I mount and index. Is it a common problem with Nikkormats or mines just broken? Any way to fix it?
