I have a Nikon F1 but the meter is shot. I don’t know if they can be fixed (silvering?). I have some nice lenses, thinks about acquiring an FM2. Decent choice?

I just discover this in my 50mm F2 (V1) after shooting a roll. Switched to my 35, just a bit of dust. Thinking of my next steps. I am hesitant to send it away for months,,,
