  1. <p>Hi, I am a proud owner of an HS-1800, also a V700 and a Nikon 9000. Noritsu is high end, it works with jpgs and tiff (16 bits and 8 bits). From a 35mm it gets as high as 4800 dpi (4700 aprox. real). With 120 film because of optical stuff resolution comes out at a maximum of 2400 dpi, stunning as well. <br /><br />Color balance and consistency is great, with all other scanners you can't get that so simply. Consistency whitin a roll is a bi issue on consumer/prosumer scanners. <br> Noritsu scans whole roll of 120 film in about 5 minutes at maximum resolution and the Nikon in that time would steel making a preview just of 3 frames. <br> It's the valhala of the scanners.</p> <p> </p>
