Recently we had a demonstration of flash portraits at our club. The instructor was using a Sony A7 with manual off camera flash. I noticed that he had to open up the aperture on the lens to focus and compose ( it was on a tripod) then close the aperture down to take the picture, as the image was too dark to see. That does not happen with a optical viewfinder. I also noticed that the battery was going down at an alarming rate. He was showing the pictures tethered to a large screen. Not saying that the camera was not great because I have seen images from other members that have the same camera that are stunning. I just feel that the mirrorless technology is not as mature as DSLR's and if you are thinking of swopping to them I personally would wait a bit longer to see what the manufacturers come up with to address these issues, especially the battery life. Also I think the price of the bodies is very high for something that has relatively few moving parts. Only my opinion.
