Hi, I'm new to the forum, I came here looking for a solution with my XE & XE-1. I had the the shutter, locking in the up position. I had cleaned out the battery chamber, still no joy. Then i turned my attention to the battery holder in both cameras. I cleaned them out and hey presto, they are now both working. I haven't checked for accuracy yet though. I know it's not the exact same issue as above, but it can't hurt to try.
