1.
I'm not sure what people are whining about, this is cool and it's called an 'experiment' for a reason. Reminds me of the Chrome experiment for the Oz film (Wizard of Oz prequel) advertising. I'd call this 2.5d as opposed to 3d. Loads fine for me even on my not exactly new pc. I'm not sure how possible this is but I can imagine merging this was aerial video/camera zoom and interactive button areas so when you click part of the image, especially if it's a busy image. Let's say, for example, a classical fairground with clickable zoom to areas.

 2.
Hi, I'm trying to make stop-motion animations and general macro images with my new (for me) second-hand Nikon Coolpix S9700 but finding that often the autofocus drifts when attempting to photograph small subjects, focusing on objects around the subject but unable to find it even if in centre frame or if using manual focus positioning. I did not have this issue with the last compact camera I used, though I'd like to be able to switch to manual focus ideally. I don't think I can have full manual control with this model as it's a compact so that feature is rare.

It's not a distance to subject thing (I can't remember the correct term) because if I move the camera back and utilise the zoom the focus is still problematic. This doesn't always occur though but it's rather too hit and miss. I don't know if it's to do with area focus where the camera tries to read the scene to pick out the subject. Any help appreciated.
