  1. Hi Les, no, waiting for the metering circuit to time out does not make any difference. Only pressing the shutter seems to "release" things.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I never use the camera in aperture priority but all shutter speeds work fine the manual and electronic ones. Hence I assume it is something to do with the metering system. The main circuit board and all the electronics have been replaced/checked. When the problem occurs, the led lights for either over or under exposure, top or bottom of the scale and stays there, regardless of shutter speed change, aperture change or ISO change. Usually, if another exposure is made it will then go back to giving a correct reading. Yes, double exposing the frame with a cap on would perhaps be a good way to avoid wasting shots. Usually if I am lucky the light value has remained the same and as I am on manual, it does not matter too much.
  3. I have a minor problem with my much-loved Pentax LX that Pentax UK and a very highly regarded UK repair company have been unable to fix. The camera works fine but every so often the metering "sticks" on over or LTB and it takes a wasted exposure or so to clear it. It has been suggested, and I tend to agree, that maybe it is a microswitch problem on the mirror box? The main circuit board and other parts have all been replaced but the problem never seems to go away. Has anyone come across this before or know a fix - other than carrying a separate light meter, etc?
  4. I have a R6.2 and tend to use it far more than my R8. It sits in "spot" metering mode and has not let me down let after quite a few years of use. I agree with others that it has a bit of a lag and the shutter has quite a clunk but I tend to use the mirror release a lot which solves that issue. With a 35mm f2.8 and a 90mm I find it a nice compact travel kit.
  5. As it says, a collection of various polaroid land cameras and laboratory microscope cameras and accessories. Only condition is that you can come and pick it up....
  6. Not complete but almost all there with 50mm and 80mm lenses. Only condition is you have to pick it up!
