Jack, This has a Sci-Fi-Fi quality to it that I cannot quite explain. I am lost on Photo.net at the moment; the transformation leads me to believe I have walked into The Twilight Zone. (I would very much like to return to ordinary reality.) -

As others have pointed out the geometry is lovely, but there is something else here: the pearly tones and the figure on the right suggest there is magic in the air. -
The rim lighting and the crop create an elegant mystery. I like the "grain" in this photograph, although it appears to be digital in origin. -

What lovely tones in this homey subject. If you had told me Josef Sudek had shot this long ago I would have believed you. I love the look of some of the earlier photographers and this captures that feeling wonderfully. -

Strong image, reminiscent of Paul Strand's "Blind" photograph of the early 1900s. However, I think the excessive contrast works against the image, not for it.
