Thank you Jeff for clearing this up.. You are correct, I see there was only 1 Viviitar Series 1 of this lens and it was made by Cosina (9xxxxxx). The other 2 were the Kiron with different aperture range and the Kobori with 72 mm lens opening (77xxxxxx). The Cosina seems to sit comfortably in the middle of the pack.

Thank you Chuck. I said “much maligned Cosina-made”. My peers online assert it is the worst of the 3 manufacturers of this model. Like you however, I find the results more than satisfactory.

New to me, 70 y.o Mamiyaflex Automat B with Sekor 75mm f3.5. Loaded with Kentmere 400 @ EI 250 in HC110 @ 20C for 9.5 min, agit. 4 per min. Took it for a test drive around local park to see what happens. Screwed up in the Changing Bag and fogged nearly everything except about 4-5 at end of roll.
