I'm really confused. I went to the photos requesting critiques and tried to leave a critique but all the photos that I went to will not allow me to leave a critique or comment. The box is grayed out. When I put my cursor in the comment box, I get a red circle with a slash through it. I am getting comments and critiques on my photos but I cannot reciprocate.

Although not raining, it was pretty dark when this was taken at iso 2000 just to get enough shutter speed to stop the action on the body. A fill flash was used. This particular species spends the entire year in my area. -
Taken from the indoors looking outdoors. Another typical Pacific Northwest winter scene. Fill flash used. The wet weather has a tendency to accentuate the greens. -
Winter in the Pacific Northwest of the United States is generally a tough time to take photographs. Starting in late October, it rains almost constantly and as a result it is dark. That is the case with this picture which was taken in the rain this morn -

This may have been covered already but I have not found it. When I make a comment on someone else's image even if it is just one comment, I get email notifications in my email box every time anyone makes a comment on that particular image. Is there a way to stop this? And on the other side of things, I am not getting notified when somebody makes a comment on my own images. I would much rather be notified about comments on my own images than those on other peoples. Is there a way to fix that?

I continue to have issues with navigation on the site. It has been several weeks since I posted an image. I have tried again today. First let me say that when I look at an image on the site that someone else has posted and I want to go back to the same page I was looking at, I am sent to a different page and it is hard to get back to the original page I was looking at. This needs to be changed immediately. Navigating through the site needs to be intuitive. It was in the old site and it needs to be in the current site. If you click on the back arrow, you should wind up where you were previously. That simple. And I am still unable to enter my camera data when I am uploading an image. Will this be fixed? Seems important!

I also tried to do this; have a conversation with a member, looking them up by using a post they had done in the past, and sending a message. It appears to have been sent successfully but I don't know if they got it. How do we know if it was sent successfully. If they reply where do we find there reply? In the past everything went through email via the old site. It seemed to always work in the past. Why can't we make it work that way now? It preserves privacy in a much better way. I feel as if I lost my lifeline to other members I have known for a long time. I think this is an important attribute for this site.

Nice detail, head turn, and better color on this one. -
Color, detail, and background are all well done here. The pheasant is in the left quarter of the frame and would be compositionally stronger a bit more to the right. But that is a matter of preference. A nice image all around.
