I wondered if any photoshop experts could tell me what they think is being done in post to achieve this look by photographer Hugo Comte? I'm pretty sure(at least some)of his work is shot digitally, and the 90s film affect is being created in post? any ideas on whats being done? Im not sure if anyone here is familiar with the fashion photographer Johnny Dufort, he seems to shoot with a ring flash or perhaps just an on camera flash but I cant figure it out, can anyone see what he seems to be doing lighting wise? I've noticed a trend with fashion photographers achieving this specific look when shooting medium format film? It seems to be able to be produced not just at golden hour, and has a particular sense of softness as well as the unique colour? I wondered if it something that can be achieved in scanning or even in digital post? Can anyone help? I wondered if anyone is skilled enough to analyse from the images linked below, what it is that David Sim's is doing to achieve this overexposed spot effect on the face of the model?
