<p>I would like to go to Lee Vining at the end of the week. What is the best way to get from El Portal to Lee Vining if 120 is still closed?</p>

<p>I'm planning a trip to Yosemite the first week in May next year. It appears that staying in the park anywhere near Yosemite Valley is out of the question since I am not ready to pay $500 per night. The motels outside the park all seem to be 25 to 35 miles away, which, I assume, means at least an hour drive. Any suggestions on the best area to stay would be appreciated.Thanks.</p>
