I bought a used Pentax 67 in very good shape with a working metering prism that just stopped working in the middle of a roll. I managed to resuscitate it several times by removing the lens and finder and reattaching, as recommended elsewhere in this forum. But now it that trick no longer works. Have replaced the battery and the battery check glows red, and the finder seems to be seating tightly on the camera, insuring good contacts for the juice from the battery.
I get no reaction from the needle: zilch, nada.
I note that there are a lot of these finders on eBay with nonfunctioning meters, so I guess this is not an uncommon problem.
Other ideas? If not, would someone care to venture an opinion whether this is worth fixing and/or recommend someone to repair it. I am perfectly fine with hand-held metering, but it was convenient to have the meter working—it seemed to be right on the money for exposure.
Thanks for your help.
