<p>What were contax thinking? Well of course they knew they weren't a major player in the camera game and no matter ow it played out it wasn't going to be a big earner for them. Despite having a good or even great MF system their future analysts determined that the MF market would decline further so yea it was a good move for them to get out. <br>
The lenses haven't been serviced for some years and the bodies are now out of contract, so good luck getting service if you don't have spare parts like any other similar system. One the bright side the lenses work well with the S2 which can be now had for good money. <br>
i would expect this thread to die like the system it supports unfortunately A great body with good lenses, and no doubt Kyocera had a MKII on their shelf somewhere which never happened, but all thing must pass. </p>
