  1. I never use my DSLR in live view mode because doing so it's no longer an SLR. I use and SLR because I want an SLR.
  2. In live view mode there is no mirror slap noise but the shutter makes more noise than in the viewfinder mode because it has to close, open, close, then open again for every shot.
  3. Really you use rechargeable batteries in the Maxxum 7000?
  4. Yes like others have recommended. Just read the manual. The 7000 was the first Minolta autofocus camera and in no way it's a manual camera although it can be used in manual just like most of the digital cameras nowaday.
  5. How many of those experts can take photos as good as the many photographers who use their cameras and surely not knowing how to build one? 2 different skills.
  6. First I must agree with AJG that some how the non TTL auto is more reliable than TTL. I don't know how. But back to TTL. In the beginning the TTL needs a light sensor sitting at the bottom of the mirror box reading light reflected of the film and when digital came around they found that the reflection from the imaging sensor doesn't work well. So they had to do preflash. Now that all mirrorless camera use the imaging sensor for AF, ambient light exposure measurement can they use the imaging sensor to measure flash as well? I guess not.
  7. Nikon will have to develop video lenses which they can do. Not a problem. Does RED own any manufacturing facilities? And where are their factories located?
  8. I can't see how it doesn't allow you to set f/22. Auto Indexing is really no indexing.
  9. Back in the late 70's I considered the Rollei 35 and the Minox EL as a compact camera. Finally I setted on the Olympus XA.
  10. I think the battery is likely to swell when you charge it. I have laptop with swelled batteries and like wise you would charge the Iphone battery inside the phone.
  11. I much rather using Jurassic stuff than Chinese made stuff.
  12. Why do you think the display is not correct?
  13. In fact if the internal battery goes bad I would find shop that is willing to cut it out. I don't care for the cloc/calendar function.
  14. I don't worry about losing time. I worry about if the internal battery got depleted for a long time it may not take the charge any more so that when you put the EN-EL back in there it keeps draining it because it would constantly charge but not full. Unlike top end cameras like the D5 which has user replaceable battery for this, my Df will have to send it to Nikon and in the future Nikon may not even service it any more.
