1. Not trying to be smart, but looks like the issue is not of incorrect exposure, but incorrect composition as to what was desired in the final product. Both shots were suitably composed for silhouettes (the contrast being much better in the second picture). For shadow details in 'golden hour' lighting, the fantastic photos of others are (apart from well exposed) well thought out with direction of light in mind.
 2.
fantastic work by both Thomas Achtemichuk and Martin Tai !!

I printed the card on A4 at 100% but decided to use my smartphone instead of pasting it on a calling card.

--> Took a photo of the printed card on my cell phone (landscape orientation)
--> opened the image on my phone, magnified it to match the actual card dimensions (scale on the card)
--> took a screenshot (on my phone).
Have to turn off the auto-rotate screen orientation option when using the image/card.

I was already using a Lightmeter app on my phone ... and now this!

 3.
bravo bravo!!!
this is inspiring me to buy a Rolleicord sold for parts/not working and get to work!!

 4.
Great write up and pics, Daniel!
I have a 635 too (without the 35mm kit) and after the first few rolls, noticed a similar notch in the right side of my frames ... I was pretty sure that it was one of the aperture blades (lol) ... then one day, absent-mindedly fiddling with the camera, I realized that one of the knobs on the left side could be pulled out, and rotated to stay out - of course, it was the 35mm film release knob!!
No more notches after that - and of course no more absent minded fiddling or that knob could go back in without me noticing!

 9. I found out (accidentally) a way to see "positive" image "previews" of developed b&w negatives. In a dark room (lol), hold up the negative (preferably hung) and shine a torch light on the emulsion side, as close as possible (at an angle), and voila!! You can shine the light on the other side of the negative as well, but it's much more reflective. Has any one else done this, or does the award go to me? :P

 10. Hey Jeff ... I found one of these with a 1.5V battery input in an ebay listing. Battery life good on yours?
 11.
Not sure if the OP still has the said Pentacon Six ... did you try unlocking the small lever that prevents the advancing lever from advancing after the frame counter reads 12?
