Hello! I was recently approached by an art consultant firm to produce photographic prints for high-end hotels. The prints would be used in either guestrooms (multiple reproductions) or as limited edition prints for a gallery space within the hotel. All of the printing, framing, etc. would be out of my hands and performed by the company. The size of prints they are looking for are large scale - around 40x60".
I have not worked with licensing my images before and am trying to get my head around what sort of figures I should suggest. I currently have my own online store where I sell open edition prints. They are priced relatively low - much lower than what I would charge in a gallery setting. This art consultant contacted me through my online store, so I know that the lower retail prices were visible to her.
I need to come up with a retail price for them and also any additional charges for commissions if applicable. Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
