I like your pictures very much. The validity of the simplicity of a single light source; a favourite (British spelling!!) piece of equipment is a Norman 200B strobe which I purchased in NYC in 1988, with a specific reflector; diameter approx 5" painted matt white, with a fresnel lens insert. The norman flash tube is a point source, & the reflector is small, so it's sharp & soft or something, at the same time. & a black (or white,) nylon stocking over the camera lens is effective. I'd like to think that the artificial light is similar to what was being fabricated in Hollywood around a century ago. Thanks for commenting about the font Tahoma. When I was doing website design about 20 years ago, I found Tahoma & Verdana to be available & displaying on computers circa Windows 98SE. I use Windows 7 & Android & Linux. These days Linux tends to install ttf-dejavu. this irritates me because there are alternative choices. I used to install ttf-thryomanes, ttf-liberation, ttf-freefont, & ttf-bitstream-vera. These days I don't bother with ttf-liberation (Courier,) ttf-thryomanes has vanished which may be a tragedy, ttf-freefont was vanilla before vanilla ttf-dejavu, so just ttf-bitstream-vera survives. Of course there's zillions of fonts can be installed, but if I'm just doing a very minimal console install. I hope there's some data that makes sense there. I'm envious of the light power, heat power, all the powers. Presently typing on a grey gray! morning in the U.K. Crap food & crap weather! Andy. -
P.s., Tim_Lookingbill, please, any words of wisdom about Tahoma/Verdana. If we're working with a minimal choice of fonts on our our box.

HOWTO build a website. Get a copy of The Non-Designer's Design Book Robin Williams & learn some basic graphic design & typography. Get an old Dreamweaver 1.0 off Ebay for peanuts, if you're lucky. Create the most basic blank white page with the words Under Construction, look at the generated html, & instantly realisze that as a photographer therefore working to the highest standards, you need to hand ball. Work hard, learn some html, & strictly adhere to W3C, get a green light through their free Validator, then you can proudly put a W3C logo on your site. I cannot see what I am typing here because there are things wrong with this site.

The majority on earth live with poverty & hunger, the majority have one meal a day, perhaps. Previously having photographed my fellow man dying & dead of hunger burned the strongest memories. The majority do not have super bandwidth therefore the totally erronous & bad html of this site creates considerable exclusion. & we're just coming out of the computer sub dark ages, I mean this tool is quite in its infancy, and how else can we build the web but democratically. The late Massive Legendary photographer Leonard Freed said photography is a visual language still in its infancy. -

Isn't JDMvW's portrait fantastic. You have to watch that the plastic ones cap twists off dead easy, put me off forever. & you need the proper tool to take the cap of the metal one. Not quite necessary but I was constantly batch processing as an assistant. U.K., suppliers, havn't checked but perhaps Speedgraphic, & Silverprint.

Hello Gaetan and merci for kindly critique my work. I had to take a moment to reciprocate and there is much documents to consider and this is a quick start. Trees are a No.1 project of mine at the moment, a Modern Society 'fashion' to chop down trees (to nosey neighbours.) Look after the water & the trees & the animals & the children. I look forward to next time I look at your work. Andy. Deux mant! -
