The a6000 is hardly outdated relative to the 6500. There’s essentially a half stop between the sensors in iso and color separation according to Dxo. I should think the difference would be imperceptible. Similarly, the 16-50 is fine and a very practical lens. I’ve squeezed the camera in to a pant pocket with the kit lens equipped. It’s a kit lens and shares the same compromises they all do.
