1.
Thanks Rob and Anthony!! lots of great resources and info!. Finally I will have to custom make my adapters. Much cheaper than getting duclos cinemod on my lenses.

Thanks once again!

 2.
Guys, Trying to get info on Leica Threads and filter adapters...
I got together a Leica R set and some use the "Series" system.
Would love to adapt all of them to 72mm so as to only use one same filter for all the set.
Ive got Series VI, Series VII, and Series VIII lenses, and then a couple of E55 ones.
Do you know any source online for those adapters? Ive already sent messages to Adorama/B and H, and several Ebay sellers and no one have the step up rings I need.
Do they actually exist???
Thanks!

 3.
Guys, I got the list of adapters I need. Some lenses are Series 7, others are Series 8 and one of them is Series 6.
Do you have any source for step up rings from these series to 72mm??? I cant seem to find any online! Band H said they dont stock these kind of adapters, which seems quite rare....
The info I Sourced (from this link: http://www.apotelyt.com/photo-accessory/series-filters )

Serie 8 --- RETAINING RING 66.7mm
Serie 7 ---- RETAINING RING 54.3mm
Serie 6 ---- RETAINING RING 44mm

I´d really apreciate any stores that sell these type of adapters.

Thanks!!

 4.
Thanks both for the insight! Will check those sites and try to get the adapters needed..
Stephen, what do you think would be a good search on the Bay for those adapter rings??

thanks!

 5.
Hello group!
I got together a kit of Leica R lenses and I´m a bit lost on the filter diameter of them.
I will use them for Video so would love to get them all to a same diameter with step up rings, lets say 72mm, and use a 72mm ND variable filer.
I see that most of the lenses i got have special diameters numbered as Series VIII, etc, and Im a bit confused on which adapters do I need..
Do anyone have an online resource where I can get all the diameters needed? Is it easy to get the adapters (stepup rings) im asking for??
the lenses are a
24mm elmarit
28mm elmarit
35mm elmarit
50mm summicron
60mm Macro
90mm summicron
135mm Elmarit
180mm Elmarit
Thanks very much!

Agustin Barrutia,
Bs As, Argentina

 6.
Thanks a lot Les, Great info in that message. Ill try to source a Coolscan in town for the 35mm negs then... Been Scanning 8x10 with the V500 for some time now, but its quite a hassle... and I thought that maybe I would get + better results with 35mm with it.. but it seems that is not the case.

Thanks once again for your advices.

Cheers,

Agustin

 7.
Hello there! Been using a Epson v500 for many years now, and the results with MF and LF have been more than acceptable for the work I do. Not the same feeling with 35mm scans. Specially with color negatives. It seems that the Epson V500 has a hard time dealing with under or over exposed 35mm color negatives, and the scans come up with LOTS or noise, almost useless results. In the other hand, MF and LF color negs, are easily handled by it..
The question per se:
I need to upgrade to a 8x10 scanner for the work I´m doing now, and I was thinking about any of the v700/v800 series..
Will i see any difference in results on the 35mm scans??
Is there any real difference between getting the + expensive v850 compared to the the v700??
Any other option I should think about appart from the V series???

Thank you very much for your time!

Agustin Barrutia,
Bs As.
