I just got a nice shape T90 and I managed to fix the "not firing at all" problem already and it fire smoothly. Then I face another problems, which is the second curtain won't open and end up in "EEE" on screen. I'm pretty ok at assembly and disassembly it but not sure what is the main issue part. Need help for few specific part suggestion. Thanks

@ John Seaman Thank you for your suggestion. I'll check the curtains and mirror seals first. :D

Need Urgent Help With Unknown Focusing Problem w/ Canon 35mm f2
achita_lin replied to SevenTen's topic in Canon FD Mount
Check this link Canon Lens FD 35mm f/2.0 S.S.C. & f/3.5 S.C. it has optical contruction 1. Try to rip it and see if any elements housing is loose. 2. Try to rip it apart and check the second group of the lens first, if nothing wrong then go for the third group. It must me some element(s) flipped. 3. If not then rip the focus right and re-position it since it may installed the focusing ring in the wrong position of the screw according to the position of focusing group. Hope this help.- 5 replies

In case of m5 which is aps-c size, I recommend for 35f2 instead of 2.8. A stop of that make your bokeh better. You are using 1.6x with 35f2, you will get 56mm, f2 brightness and f3.2 of bokeh. In the other hand, with 35f2.8 will get 56mm, f2.8 brightness and 4.48 (let's say 4.5) bokeh. By the way, I own both 35f2 and 35f2.8. Mounting on apsc seems not so bad, but after I 've got 35f2. I sell 35f2.8 out. Hope this help

Dear Kari,
I do run some test on fast curtain speed and every speed seems to open only few millimetres only on the top of the frame, the second curtain just always move faster and block the lower part of the frame.

Just wonder how to adjust the curtain speed

example:

Hi there, I've got an old fm2n from my friend and found fews issues.
I've repair the shutter release issue already but now I'm facing with capping due to fast shutter speed and causing uneven exposure.

Shutter speed of 1/500,1000,2000 and 4000 seems not to open the whole frame.
(I do know about flash sync speed at x250, so please do not recommended any thing about the travel time and space between 2 curtains.)

The second curtain seems to be close faster the first curtain start to move (according to my inspection).

I've search for repair manuals and found the explode diagram but found nothing about "curtain speed adjustment".

Need helps about curtain speed adjustment.
