I've been photographing since my late teens, around 1997 when I fell in love with hiking. I bought my first camera around the same time, a simple Canon Rebel G. After photographing for a while, I moved up to a Speed Graphics 4x5, but later sold it as I was a starving college graduate in a bad economy especially in Oregon (2002). I've owned several cameras since: Sony F707 which was a nice first digital camera, and still to this day has some flexibility that DSLR's don't have (I miss the swivel lens!)...then a Canon 20D...on to the 5D, and finally I was able to get my hands on the 5DII. I use the 24-70L, and 70-200mm L IS, and I just picked up a simple 50mm F1.4 prime. My images can be seen here: I've hiked and photographed mainly in Oregon, with side trips to Montana, Arizona, Washington, and California... I've been published in the WTA (Washington Trails Association) magazine, Oregon Coast Magazine, and Northwest Travel Magazine. Nothing in life is more fulfilling to me then being out chasing the perfect light, composition, and seeing the results of that pursuit in print! ***UPDATE*** Just started making/editing are a few: Pacific City: Wahclella Falls: Hug Point: Chris Markes
