I have loved photography since I was a young boy. While I was in high school I belonged to the photography club, the yearbook staff and had an opportunity to gain some basic black and white darkroom experience by working an apprenticeship with Marion Warren, a well known photographer in Annapolis, Maryland, U.S.A. While in college, I didn't concentrate on photography. Once I earned my Bachelor's degree and settled into a real, good paying job, I realized I really had a passion to be a photographer in a professional capacity. My photography interests are quite varied, but in each of them, I only desire to make what I consider a meaningful image. It doesn't matter what subject I shoot, although I am partial to portraiture and wedding photography and pursue this as my livelihood. I also enjoy nature, scenic and prep sports action photography and am constantly challenging myself to create unique images that tell of my vision or the emotion present within the scene. A lot of what I know about photography I have gained from interaction with other photographers, read in articles, or learned from hands on practice. I am an active member of our local Camera Club and serve as the Gallery Show chairman overseeing an event held annually for the promotion of photography and membership. Occasionally, I have been invited to judge images for the Baltimore Camera Club's monthly competition. I serve as an adviser to a local high school's photography club as well as teach photography at a local community college. I converted to digital photography in 2003 and have been enjoying it ever since. Just viewing others pictures is a continual learning experience for me, and I am thoroughly enjoying my membership within this forum. I thank you in advance for visiting my galleries.
