BIOGRAPHY
I've been a part-time photographer since 1969. After a variety of jobs, graduate school, and a career with the USGS, I retired in 2005 to pursue photography as a small personal photography business and career. While I still have and use my Minolta manual focus system, I added a 4x5 camera and a Canon 35mm digital and film camera system in 2006.
I have focused my photography on being what I call "occasional observational photographer", thanks to Kent Budge, meaning "pictures of the ordinary" and "walking around photography", and on my nature and landscape photography. In addition I am working on two photography projects, one, a photography guide to Mt. Rainier NP, and two, the early history (1890-1920) of the NP.
Anyway, I hope you find some photos to make you smile, information to make you think, and resources to help your visit to Mt. Rainier NP. And no, I'm not the tree.
