BIOGRAPHY
I've been an amateur photographer since 1973. My first camera was a Konica I (fixed lens rangefinder) and I progressed to a Minolta SR-T-101, XE-5, and various Minolta bodies till I got to the 600si.
When I got older and had the money to indulge myself more, I started using rangefinders again such as the Leica M2 and the Canon 7 and found I liked using them much more than my Minoltas. I also found I liked the Kyocera Contax SLR bodies and liked to experiment with a variety of older "user" cameras.
These days my main cameras are the Leica M8, the Canon 5D and the Sony A350. As I get older, I'm carrying the tripod less and gravitating to lighter cameras.
I work as a software engineer for a defense contractor.
