Humans' most robust sense is seeing. Photography, as a fine art, lets other people have a glimpse of what you see around you and how you see it. How you see the world part isn't merely recording a momentary vision, also conveys a message about how the image data processed in your mind and what you wanted it to be shaped as the outcome of those straying light beams.
