I am the luckiest woman in the world. I am madly in love with a man who is the smartest, sweetest, sexiest, considerate, thoughtful, supportive, and funniest guy in the world. He is married. TO ME!! Because of him, I have the time to photograph anything, anywhere I want. He supports my creative efforts with cameras, computers, printers, ink, paper, and constant encouragment. He considers himself a "Patron of the Arts" by financing my art. I consider him a gift from God! When I used non digital cameras, I was constantly frustrated by not being able to edit my photos. So when my darling hubby gave me a digital camera 3 years ago, my life changed! Now I am in charge of the color, the contrast, the cropping, and I love it. And knowing that digitally enhanced photos are controversial and not considered photography by some, I willingly admit that using Photo Shop is the most fun I can have with my clothes on!! I understand the debate about digitally altered photos and if it is, in fact, photography and not graphic art. Here's what I know, I love all art, pure untouched photography, altered photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture, and all things hand crafted. I also know that creating, with whatever pleases you, is the point, not the method. I am impressed with the excellent work on Photo.net, although intimidating, it does inspire me. And having other artists comment on my work is incredibly fascinating and instructive. Here's to all the folks who try to capture something of beauty, or poignancy, or humor, thanks for the effort and thanks for sharing with me! P.S. Aug, 06 I am 6 weeks into recovering from open heart surgery and I am beyond grateful to be healthy and energetic, to be blessed with incredible family and friends, and to be back into photography and PN, I missed you all! Dec.06..my benefactor, my beloved guy, gave me a new Canon Rebel XTi, lenses, Canon killer printer, Graphics tablet, new computer, monitor, etc. I am thrilled of course, but now I had better produce some quality photos. Ohhhh, the pressure!!
