BIOGRAPHY
I use photography as a tool for self-expression. I want to convey to the viewer the sense of surprise or delight or curiosity or bemusement that I had in finding some of the scenes I photograph.
Most of my pictures fall in the category of abstract (a photographic category difficult to define), so composition—relationships of line, form, color—is my main interest and challenge. You might see that in order to emphasize those compositional elements I try to eliminate depth to the degree possible.
