I am an amateur photographer born in 1956. I have always been interested in art, like the cubist area of 1910 - 1912, Marcel Duchamp and the Dada area, and individual artists like Mondrian, Chagall and Degas. I see the world in colors and prefer colors in my photos. I do not always subscribe to the common opinion of what a good photo should look like. Does it always have to tell a story? Do the pictures of Klee, Mondrian and Pollock tell stories? Are wrinkles in a woman's face ugly, or isn't human skin actually beautiful? Are black and white better than colors? What would Chagall look like without colors? I often try to find the maximum effect of the different color elements within the frame. The motif in itself doesn't always interest me, more so its inherent colors, texture, angles and lines. The cropping process is for me very essential when finalizing a photo. In addition to photo, I am also interested in music, all kinds, with a preference for blues and modern jazz. Photo and music are important hobbies. For a profession, I work as responsible for electronic patient journal record systems (EPR) in the health care sector in Mid Norway.
