Such graphic color mastery. Truly gives meaning to the phrase "full color". I even love the self-portrait you've chosen for yourself. No disrespect intended when I say you have an striking and interesting face on the world as well. I am going to send you an e-mail detailing some interesting facts I most recently discovered about Belgium and the role that area played in my families history. Your portfolio was every bit the revelation that you had also relayed to me. Wonderful collection of imagery; very crisp design oriented images. I'll come back and delve into more of the individual images in detail, but wanted to thank-you for your comments as well as have a look-see at your communicative expressions too. Isn't it interesting what we end up doing for work yet still find ourselves drawn into an area of visual communication and expression? It's almost like the other modalities are not enough!

The highest complement I can give you is to say that you are unique amongst the thousands of photogs on this site. I was impressed to see such a wide array of compositions and themes and the vast majority of the photos in your collection offer something interesting, quirky, or simply different then what we normally see. It's one thing to be technically proficient in ones craft but it takes another level of skill and imagination to consistently present a fresh approach to subjects as you seem to do. I read your bio & I agree with your philosophy on the art of photography. You come a long wayin this medium, only been shooting since your daughter was born. Many of us haven't achieved as you have in such a short time. I like what I see in your portfolio, but also I looked at the photos you rated highest & I'm glad I did. These are all photographs I would've rated high. Most of them I've never seen. I should pay more attention.

Now I know that what I try to achieve in my photos actually has a name. CONTENPLATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY - even the name has a nice ring to it .....My take is: "Photography is not reality. It's only a representation of reality. The representation is trying to tell us something about that reality." I'll use your work as a guide on my journey .......

I see a lot of great work here. Some I connect with, others I don't...but the images that are strong to me, are really right on. The b&w images that focus on light and shadow are my absolute favorites. You add just the right touch of contrast in each image which can be fine line sometimes. Keep the work going, you have a great eye.
