I was just going over your portfolio and realized that even though I made a lot of comments on your individual photos, I have never commented on your wonderful portfolio. What is interesting about photo.net is that often people have a lot of nice looking pictures, but the work has no soul at all. I love beautiful sunsets and nice infra-red pictures, but your work is different because they are incredibly pernonal and pure. In the faces of your students and teachers, one sees a joy for life no sunset could ever present, and one almost feels like he knows you personally by seeing how people react to your camera. I never get tired of coming to your portfolio, Alberto. Your work is excellent. (Desculpe, no puede escivir esta opinion en espanol). Emmanuel.

The last couple of months have been very busy as my wife and I prepare the nest for our first child, a boy who will be named after my father. I am his oldest son, and it is a special time for him. I have not been as active as I had been in the past, but I thank everyone who has taken the time to come to my portfolio and leave a rating. I thank you all from the depth of my heart. Emmanuel.

My friend, Alberto.

Thank you so much for all your support for me as a photographer. It is always said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. This is so true about you and your pictures. In the seemingly casual snapshots of your students, you manage to capture so much about them because you ARE one of them. That skill to make someone else comfortable enough for them to reveal themselves to you is a talent that no amount of photoshop training will teach you. Of all the portfolios here, yours stand out for that reason.

Yes, my baby came on December 30, 2006 at 9:31 am. I had hoped to capture a whole series of the event, but I found that this was impossible because I had to hold my wife's leg and get her to push, push, push the baby out. By the end of the sleepless night, we were both very tired, but happy parents. I hope the pictures I put up capture the joyous occasion. I know the pictures are not terribly flattering of my wife, but they manage to capture the reality of the moment, and that, in its own way, is beautiful.

i enjoyed your photos. your portraits of Dona Tuly are loving and unsentimental. your portfolio of yucatan, brought back the very pleasant week's stay that we had in Merida. your shots made me return to some of those that i made when there. i have placed some of them in my section. some were savaged [3 - 3] before in ratings as being "travel" shots. perhaps others don't travel and enjoy local flavor. thanks jh

Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my rose pictures. I fear I went overboard as I received them for Valentine day and went snap happy!! Only one of them has been well received. It was kind of you to be so generous with your comments especially when I see so many wonderful flower shots on your own portfolio! I love your flower shots but I see many others that are also very wonderful! Your love of photography is so evident in your shots full of life and smiles! Poco a Poco voy conociendo la D200 ya la uso un poco mas... en las ultimas tomas la arriesgue mucho pero gracias a ke mi novia le hizo una funda de tela me salve de una buena mojada de agua de mar, pues inmediatamente le retire la funda y no paso nada...

Many thanks once again for your comments on my photos 'Rain' and 'Lily'! Lily has been manipulated quite a bit using Picasa to get it to that shade. I got another real close shot of a lily again and I'm yet to get the film developed. I shall post it once I get all of them; should take another day or two :)

Many thanks again for your recent visit to my portfolio! I am still intrigued by your pictures of flowers!! What equipment did you use for those?? Well, my equipment is extremely limited; I use a Nikon F55 camera and I have a set of screw-on close-up lens set which I use for macros. Is that good enough, or should I get a dedicated macro lens??

Alberto! Thanks for your advice! I finally bought myself a zoom lens yesterday! It's a Sigma 70-300 DG! I clicked some shots today. I still have to get the film developed today. Will host the photographs once I get them!

Thanks for your recent visit to my portfolio!! I really liked the lens I bought; it's been great shooting with it! I clicked a few shots of pigeons on my terrace recently and they came out just great!! I think my next step is to upgrade to a digital SLR! I've started saving up already!

Hello there! First off, thanks for the comments again! I just returned from a nice trip to the west coast of India. I visited many Temples there located deep inside the tropical jungles!! I've added many photos to my portfolio under the folder 'My Country'. Check them out sometime!

Hello Friend!

Well here it is another year is passing away and we are coming into the holidays. I think time starts to go faster as we get older, it was just yesterday I wished my friends Happy Holidays and here it is again the end of a year. The holiday lights are starting to be put on some of the trees here in Dallas, we were out last night and some were lighting the trees. I wish for you all a holiday season with family and friends, after all is said and done all we have is each other.

I want all of you to know just what your comments and ratings on my work means to me, your words are my motivation, my drive to discover, to learn this art that we all love, thank you for taking time and thank you for caring about my works. At the same time thank you for letting us see your world, our lives are so much the same, we all care about our families and friends and we all share the same things, maybe someday our photos will help make for a lasting world peace. Dear friend, Saturday night, the 8th of December, my wife and I, had a big incident with our car (head-on collision), and we are alive for miracle: anyway, these not good moments, become also good moments! indeed, in these occasions, we can understand that life is so breakable, for not being happy every day to awaken, drink a coffee, to smile, to make love and other simple things, to meet people and, why not, to do photographs! For doing these things we don?t need a lot of money and power: we need only our life and the capacity for surprise of simple things. I have had a big gift, for this Xmas and the New Year, that is to say, I?m alive! and now, I know, I?ll love more life! My dear friend! I wish to you the same thing, namely, the ability to transform the accidents of life in happiness to live better and to give the proper value to your life and to that of other!
