Just had to say...
Really cool portfolio. I like the range of subjects, but even more so, your ability to capture a fantastic picture of them all...
MacGregor Anderson , July 22, 2004; 09:14 P.M.
I think the Verdict and Mellow Mood are two of my favorite images on photo.net. It is a very different style to anything I have tried, completely out of my usual photographic interest. I find them both to be powerful pieces of art. I enjoyed your entire portfolio, your portraits and the EU flag also jump out at me as special. There is also that photo from of the woman at the grocery store, framed strangely and with different colors than usual. I can't say why that caught my eye, but it's odd and intriguing and I like it a lot. Continue to enjoy your camera, it's clear that you do very much, and it comes through in your work.
MacGregor Anderson , July 22, 2004; 09:17 P.M.
The grocery store shot was the Taken By Surprise...
Forgot to mention the Inspired. Love that.

stunned... shocked...horified...
thats how I feel when I see so few comments on your wonderful portfolio. You have such a wealth of talent - a tremendous diversity - Very creative eye - the color is one of the things that really stands out in your shots. I really came here to comment on one shot in particular - waiting.jpg - this is such a memorable shot of an incredible beauty - stunning eyes and lips and overall gorgeous face -honestly the best shot of you in my opinion. One of your shots that I love the most is "Kettle" - its simple and beautiful and marvelous colors. Keep shooting and posting to photo.net - your work is appreciated.

You've got some really great stuff in here; I particularly love that there are very few people in your photos. I love photos that can create drama without human interaction; that, in my eyes, is what photography is all about. Keep it up!

ViP,
I had to research a bit to find that I first became aware of your portfolio on March 31, 2005 and by the end of April we were starting to exchange comments on each others' photographs. While that is just short of four months ago I feel that I have known you much longer than that. Through your eyes I have toured Mexico, Germany, France, Greece and more. I've seen these from an artist's perspective as well as a tourist's and enjoyed both. I've thoroughly enjoyed the trip so far and am looking forward to more. Thank you for sharing, both in pictures and words, your experiences.

It is somewhat daunting to make comment on a folio such as this. However, I'm compelled to do so. So many excellent takes over a diverse range of subject material. But what can one contribute as worthwhile words?
Vi P you certainly know how to "swing" a camera.

It took me a long time to work my way over here after you left a note on one of the pictures in my portfolio last Jan 26. When I scroll down a portfolio I can usually tell right away, even from the thumbnails, whether the person has a feeling for composition or not. There's a sense or orderliness that's readily apparent that can't really be learned and certainly can't be faked. It's easy to see, even from a cursory glance, that you have the eye of an artist and the soul of a poet. I could spend the next several hours going through your rather large collection, but I'll have to be satisfied with a folder or two for now with regular visits to view the rest. I'll definitely be back. Regards, Jack

I started a poem: You don't know me, but I know you...
I just finished an "event shoot", all about people, a "writer's conference". I come home and start going thru the images and see every little pore in their faces and wrinkle and blemish and go about smoothing them out as best I can and think how they've let me see them as no one else really does, pixel by pixel. It is humbling, in its way, and scary and creepy.
Do you find this, too?

More then anything, I think its natural. its really beautiful that they were strong enough, kind enough and generous enough to share themselves with you. They trust you to do a _good job_. And to me, every time someone tells me "would you do a photo of me?" I feel so flattered, so humbled and pleased...
its a beautiful process, that cannot be forced, cannot be imposed, it can only be natural. It brings many different aspects along with it, and it teaches you a lot. If you are open to learn.
Thank you for stopping by, S. J. Luke, its a pleasure to see you here! :)

Dear Vi, My heart goes out to you on the loss of your camera. With much sadness I concur that your loss is our loss as well, in that we, (for the time being) will be seeing less of the great photographic talent that you possess as well as inspire. I truly am sorry to hear of the action of theft brought upon you. Thinking positive thoughts and sending them your way, always. Kind and Fond Regards, Todd
