Wow, I like "the forgotten" folder.Awesome folder among some some other equally beautiful pictures.I like your B&W work- "Perfect Kiva" and "New sky: Park Avenue Arches N.P." are my personal favorites. Look forward to more from you.

Excellent work Chris. I am very impressed.

Sébastien Pepinster , May 24, 2004; 05:21 A.M.

Chris, there is no more sens in my "Pure Colors" folder than in Mondrian's paintings : Repetition of simple shapes and colors. Why should it always be a metaphysical justification to a picture? Did Pollock give a sense to his work?

"Photographie plasticienne", as we call in french. Nothing else.

But I understand you don't see the "utility" of such a work. Just try to figure that there isn't more utility to a beautiful landscape picture...

But, as some of your works are great and as you justify your rating, I can't blame you.

Just say that "my picture doesn't enter in your conception of the "aestetic" ". ;-)

Thanks anyway.

Chris, Great work that you have here. You have many images of the SW, but you have added your touch, your own style there - that's what impressed me most. It's not easy to do something different out of so-frequently-shot landscapes by so many great photographers.

What a fantastic portfolio! Easily one of the best that I have seen in some time. You have a very inventive and original approach to some oft-photographed material, and your technical skills are obviously superb. Just excellent!

I just saw you class at WPPI and really enjoyed you work and class. I didn't get a chance to talk to you after and just wanted to say it was definitely one of the more inspiring and interesting classes. I like how you have a strong contrast in your photographs but they have a soft feel to them, you also capture the movement and rhythm of the rock really well. I am looking forward to seeing more of the abstract photography you mentioned. I had wanted to buy a print, I heard someone say $17 and all I found was 150 so did I hear that completely wrong? 17 is ridiculously cheap but I was hoping. Please let me know, thanks. stephanieoloff@hotmail.com
