Very nice photo. Good use of light. I would have liked to have seen you wait one more second to let the smoke clear his nose. But, it is very nice either way.

I agree with the previous poster - I found myself wondering how the composition might have improved with just a few seconds' delay. The texture on the face is gorgeously captured. I'm distracted by the blurry hand and cigarette.

Powerful portrait, every wrinkle on his face seems to have its story but he doesn't look bored with life and his eyes still appear to be eager to explore the world. Thank you for sharing, best regards, -wm

Great capture! I find myself wanting to listen to his stories, which I'm sure he has plenty. The smoke for the cigarette is a little distracting to me as I view his eyes, but an excellent photo none-the-less!

Perfect portrait!

Great portrait. I agree with previous posters somewhat in that I do wish there were another frame captured a few seconds later. That said, I like this one plenty as is. The smoke around his nose somehow works for me. And I think the oof hand works, too (actually coaxes my gaze toward the face).

What an excellent portrait of this gentleman in the late years of his life. Without being cliched you've spoke to us about old age and his old age.
