The eyes are very strong - the best part of this portrait.. The lips look dry and dull. I assume you were fairly close as the eyes are slightly crossed and the nose looks enlarged out of proportion. The bright, out of focus, overexposed background whites, as well as the overexposed forehead fight for the viewers attention in a negative way. I think cropping out most of that under-the-face background would improve the image.
