Throughout our lives we will all experience these times. Whether in

our Personal Lives, or caused by situations beyond our control in the

World around us. These feelings of Uncertainty and Confusion are

not easily shrugged off. We may never have the answers or solutions

to these troubling times, but somehow we must find a way to cope, a

way to see past the fog that has transformed a path that was easily

seen into one where our sense of direction is no longer clear. While

at times difficult, we must envision 'HOPE', the one thing that aids in

changing the 'FACE' of ANGST. (any visits and comments are

always welcome, many thanks, Gail {Abstract} )

Gail, wonderful abstract and a story behind. You're right, angst is of concentric nature and the hope will come through light and colour - love your work!

Thank you for that very insightful input vlad. Even the word 'ANGST' sounds so 'knarly', don't you think??? Not many words quite like it.

Swirling , seemingly random, patterns of color giving concrete expression to anxiety.  In this case, anxiety is beautiful, though.

My best,

Wonderful abstract!

The myriad of swirling tendrils symbolise perfectly, the reign of confusion that can prevail when all of a sudden things are not as we thought they were. Unforseen circumstances blight our perception and contrive to detract from our former clarity, and confuse our thoughts. It is at times like these that all those idioms and phrases that my grandmother quoted so often come back to haunt me. One of my favourites being, "If you thought only sunshine brings you happiness, you've never played out in the rain" and her classic "If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it"

Of course there were countless others, but most of them I didn't have a clue what they mean't : - )

Very well done Gail!

Best Regards

Alf

I guess that is where the term 'Wisdom of the Ages' comes from??? I think your Grandmother had a few good ones that as you say have come back to 'haunt you'. Your critique's are always so full of insight and wisdom and 'experience'. Thanks so much for sharing these with me.

Sincere thanks ;-) GAil

Your picture just hit me with it's ability to show exactly what you wrote about. Before I read your thoughts I FELT it. May be because I am going through this period myself or just because it is just a STRONG one. Have a great day. Tamara

Wow Gail! No wonder you have received so many compliments. Your image deserves this and much more. One of the most original images I have seen in a long time. Truly artistic. Should be in a very good gallery. My hat is off!

I do hope you do not go through this for very long,  I understand 'this feeling' completely. Especially after world events these past few days. Thank you for sharing your reaction with me Tamara and for taking the time to do so.

Warmest regards, Gail
